Houses are comprised of a House Summit or Leadership, and three Battleteams. The House and all the Battleteams can either be aligned to the same Order, or if it is a Multiorder House they can have members from different orders. The House Summit consists of two positions - the Quaestor and the Aedile. The Quaestor is the primary command position of the House, with the Aedile acting as an assistant. The Aedile also acts as acting commander when the Quaestor is on leave. Houses can receive titles upon placing in a Rite of Supremacy Vendetta. These titles are based upon the House's placing and Order. For example, the first placing Sith House would receive the title "First House of the Sith". These titles are held by the House until another Rite is held and the House is displaced. Duties - The House Summit are responsible for not only ensuring their Battleteams operate properly, but also for the overall direction of their House and its integration and place within their Clan. As such, these positions are important in mediating the wills and needs of those above and below in the command chain. Duties of the House Summit include:
Powers - The House Summit has the power to award medals for activity. The Aedile may award up to the Star of Antei, while the Quaestor can award up to and including the Steel Cross. In addition, the House Summit may award sanctioned medals for approved competitions. Appointment powers extend to the appointment of Battleteam Leaders and, in the case of Quaestor, the appointment of an Aedile (with approval from the Clan Summit and Order Leaders). Lastly, the House Summit may recommend promotion for members of their House based upon previous achievements. Appointment - The House Summit is appointed by the Clan Summit with approval from the Order Leaders and Master-at-Arms.
